This service allows the applicant to carry out the registration of practitioners, specify the responsibilities of the registered individual and carry out the classification of practitioners.

The academic qualification and experience of the applicant should meet the criteria specified on the Construction Industry Practitioners Regulation (2019/R-1010).

How to apply
You can apply using an Efaas account.
Logging into your own account will direct you to the oneGov homepage.
Documents required
Accredited copy of educational certificates
Support documents for experience (construction permits, drawing approval permits, letters from Building Consent Authorities having the information of the licenced architect or engineer listed as a designer or checker)
After you apply
After successful submission, a notification will be sent to your email and phone.
You can check the status of the request from the “My Applications” tab.
Once the application is processed, the licenced architect / engineer registration certificate will be issued via email.
Service fee
Registration Fee of MVR 500 per application.
Payment notification
Once your application has been approved, you will receive a notification via email and phone to make the payment for the service.
You can see the payment prompt under “My Applications”. Clicking this will redirect you to the BandeyriPay portal where you will be able to make the payment
Estimated time frame
All duly completed applications will be processed within 10 business days from date of completion of verification of documents.

What are the actions that cause penalties?

My experience is from working overseas. Can I still apply to register?
The amount of work experience from overseas will be taken into consideration, but it will be taken as half of the original consideration level.
Some of my information has changed since my registration was issued. Within how many days should I inform the Ministry?
Any change in the information that occurs after your registration should be informed to the Ministry within 21 days to avoid penalties
I am a foreigner. Can I apply for this registration?
According to Construction Industry Practitioners Regulation (2019/R-1010), a foreigner can register only if they are spouses of a Maldivian.
