National Disability Registry & Disability Allowance

This service can be used to register for the National Disability registry and to apply for the disability allowance through NSPA. The National Disability Registry (NDR) is open to all Maldivians with disabilities. It is a Registry established as per clause 14 of the the Disability Act (8/2010), containing vital information regarding registrants’ disability and other pertinent information to facilitate services and assistance for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). The National Disability Registry will be used to assist and plan services to meet the needs of PWDs and their families. PWDs are registered in NDR upon application. The information held in the Registry is confidential. The Disability Allowance is a monthly allowance paid for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) registered in the National Disability Register, as per the Disability Act (8/2010).The purpose of this assistance is to protect the rights of PWDs and enable them to have equal opportunities in society as others. It is a non-contributory, non-conditional, non-means tested monthly cash transfer program administered by the National Social Protection Agency.
