Guide for Business Visa Application
Description
This service can be used by people of all foreign nationalities to obtain Business Visa(s) through the Portal. This Visa should be obtained before arrival to the Maldives.
Eligibility
All foreign nationals (except Indians) intending to remain in the Maldives for up to 180 days in a 12-month period for business purposes.
Indian nationals who wish to stay in Maldives for business purposes.
An individual who is eligible for a Business Visa, a sponsor or a person representing a sponsor on their behalf, can submit the application.
How to apply
You can apply using an Efaas account.
Logging into your own account will direct you to the oneGov homepage.
Documents required
A clear color copy of the bio data page of passport (validity of the passport should be more than 6 months)
A letter stating the purpose of the visit
Entry and exit page (if traveled to Maldives during the calendar year)
Passport size digital photo (Photo should be a color copy that complies with Maldives Immigration standards)
Travel and health insurance (issued by a licensed insurance company; should not be expired and shall be in English)
After you apply
After successful submission a notification will be sent to your email and phone.
You can check the status of the request from the history tab.
Once the application is approved the status will change to “Approved”. You may now proceed to make the payment.
Should the status of your application be changed to “Incomplete”, you will receive a notification along with the remarks via email and phone.
Once the application is approved and the related payments have been cleared, the status of the application will change to “Processed” and the Business Visa Approval Letter will be available for download.

Visa fee: MVR 750 for every 3 months or part of three months. (This is a non-refundable fee)

Description
This service can be used by people of all foreign nationalities to renew Business Visa(s). This Visa should be obtained before arrival to the Maldives.
Eligibility
All nationalities (except Indians) intending to remain in the Maldives for up to 180 days in a 12-month period for business purposes.
Indians: the individual should be in the Maldives and should not have exceeded 180 days of stay under the Business Visa
An individual, who is eligible for a Business Visa, a sponsor or a person representing a sponsor on their behalf, who is eligible for a Business Visa can submit the application.

Description
This service can be used to request a Corporate Resident Visa.
Eligibility
The following persons are eligible to apply for a Corporate Resident Visa:
Foreign investors who have invested USD 1,000,000 within three financial years. Dependent visa may be issued for family members of Shareholder or Director or Partner or Senior Management personnel, OR
Foreigners who has maintained a fixed deposit of USD 250,000 invested in a licensed bank in the Maldives for a period of 5 years, OR
Invested a minimum of USD 250,000 in a project determined by the Government of Maldives.
An authorized person appointed by an individual who is eligible for a Corporate Resident Visa can submit the application.

FAQs
Is the Business visa a multiple-entry visa?
Yes. The applicant will be granted a multiple-entry visa.
Are all nationals eligible for multiple entry business visas?
Yes. Business visa itself is a multiple entry visa that is granted to persons that meet the eligibility criteria prescribed in the business visa regulation.
If my stay is shorter than 30 days, is there any other visa option for those who travel to Maldives to attend meetings?
Yes. Meeting Visa is granted on arrival. Visitors shall provide information on food and accommodation expenses.
What if my passport has been renewed after obtaining the Business Visa approval letter?
You are required to reapply for a Business Visa. Since your application will be treated as a fresh application, Business Visa fees will also apply.
Can I travel to the Maldives prior to obtaining the Business Visa Approval for Business Purpose?
No, you cannot travel to the Maldives for business purposes prior to obtaining the approval for a Business Visa. However, Indian nationals can travel to Maldives if you have chosen to obtain an entry permit that does not exceed 90 days.
What is the validity period of a multiple-entry Business Visa?
The multiple-entry Business Visa approval letter remains valid for a period of three months from the issuance date. This means the applicant shall enter Maldives before the end of the three-month period from the date of issuance. If the three-month period has elapsed, you are required to reapply.
Are there any specific arrangements for Indian Nationals under the visa facilitation agreement between the government of Maldives and the government of India?
Yes. Indian Nationals are exempt from the requirement of a visa, in respect of visits or stays made for the purpose of concluding business negotiations with their counterparts that does not exceed a period of 90 days, provided that they are in possession of a valid passport / travel documents and evidence of sufficient funds to support their stay.
Who among Indian nationals should apply for a Business Visa?
Indian nationals who wish to remain longer than the 90-day visa-free period within a 12-month period should apply for a Business Visa. Indian nationals whose stay exceeds a 90-day period within a calendar year should apply for a Business Visa.
Is the Corporate Resident Visa a multiple-entry visa?
Yes, the Corporate Resident Visa is a multiple-entry visa.
What is the validity period of the Corporate Resident Visa?
Corporate Resident Visa will be issued for a period of 5 years.
What should I do if my passport changes after I receive the Corporate Resident Visa?
Should there be any changes to the passport after the issuance, you should notify the Ministry via the portal within 7 days of the change.
