This service is for the registration of individual professionals and technical personnel in the construction industry. The registration is based on academic qualification and experience (where applicable) as per Practitioner Regulation 2019/R-1010.

  • The academic qualification and experience of the applicant should meet the criteria specified on the Construction Industry Practitioners Regulation (2019/R-1010).

How to apply

  • You can apply using an Efaas account.

  • Logging into your own account will direct you to the oneGov homepage.

Documents required 

  • Accredited copy of educational certificates 

  • Experience form (Applicable for registration to grades that require experience. Please refer to the “Registration Grades” mentioned above)

  • attested transcripts

if civil engineer applies for Land surveying, Hydrographic Surveying or Geomatics Engineering

After you apply

  • After successful submission, a notification will be sent to your email and phone. 

  • You can check the status of the request from the “My Applications” tab.  

  • Once the application is processed, the construction industry general practitioner registration certificate will be issued via email.

Service fee

  • Registration Fee of MVR 100 per each category.

  • Payments should be processed through the BandeyriPay portal within 1 month of notification.

Payment notification

  • Once your application has been approved, you will receive a notification via email and phone to make the payment for the service.

  • You can see the payment prompt under “My Applications”. Clicking this will redirect you to the BandeyriPay portal where you will be able to make the payment.

Estimated time frame

  • All duly completed applications will be processed within 10 business days.

What are the actions that cause penalties?

Actions that will cause penalties - Practitioner Registration Action Penalty charged (MVR) Working without any registry, or working outside the specifications already registered 2,500 - 250,000 Not informing updates about an already registered party 2,500 - 250,000 Failure to abide to the rules and regulations the company was registered with 2,500 - 250,000 ● The payment of the penalties must be completed within the duration of 60 days. Failure to do so will allow the ministry to hold the registration. ● If the payment is not made even after the registration is held and 12 months pass by, the ministry will have the authority to dissolve the registration completely.

Some of my information has changed since my registration was issued. Within how many days should I inform the Ministry?

Any change in the information that occurs after your registration should be informed to the Ministry within 21 days to avoid penalties.

Can a foreigner apply for this registration?

According to Construction Industry Practitioners Regulation (2019/R-1010), a foreigner can register only if they are spouses of a Maldivian.
