Construction of Shipyard permit

This service can be used to submit requests for authorization to build shipyards. If the permit runs out before the job is finished, a renewal application should be submitted five days in advance.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be the owner of the vessel.

How to apply

  • Logging into your own account will direct you to the oneGov homepage.

After you apply

  • After successful submission, a notification will be sent to your email and phone. 

  • You can check the status of the request from the “My Applications” tab.

  • Once the application is processed, the approval will be issued via email.

Estimated time frame

  • All duly completed applications will be processed within 5 business days.  

FAQs

Can land leased for construction of shipyards be used for other purposes?

No. Land leased for shipyard construction cannot be used for anything other than boat building and repairs.

Can permanent structures be built on ground designated for shipyards?

No. Permanent constructions are not permitted on the ground designated for the shipyard. Everything should be removed from the property if it is no longer being used
