This service can be used to submit a missing or absconding work permit holder report. According to Regulation on Expatriate Employment (R-16/2021), employers should promptly notify the Ministry via the Xpat system if an expatriate is reported missing. Failure to report as such could result in potential legal action being taken against the employer.

  • At least 48 hours should have passed since the employee has been reported missing.

  • The work permit of the employee should be issued and active (valid).

  • The work permit will automatically change to “Reported Missing” state.
