Guide For Individual Account

Description

This service can be used to submit a request for an Xpat account relation activation for an individual account. Establishing a relation will give the authority for an individual or a representative, to act on behalf of the employer to manage the employer permits within the Xpat system.

Eligibility

  • The representative and the employer (or the represented party) should have a verified Efaas account.

  • Both parties (representative and the represented party) should have an approved and active Xpat account.

  • The applicant should be:

    • An employment agency, OR

    • A Maldivian employee of the employer, OR

    • A Maldivian individual

How to apply

  • You can apply using an Efaas account.

  • Logging into your own account will direct you to the oneGov homepage.

Documents required 

After you apply

  • After successful submission a notification will be sent to your email and phone.

  • You can check the status of the request from the “My Applications” tab.

  • Once the application is approved, the status of the application will change to “Completed”, and the representative/s will no longer be able to transact on behalf of the party represented, within the Xpat system.

Estimated time frame

  • All duly completed applications will be processed within 3 business days.

  • If any additional verification is required, the application may take longer than the standard time frame.

What is a “Representative” in the Xpat Online System?

A representative is someone assigned by the employer to act on behalf of them within the Xpat Online System.

Can relation be created in the Xpat system with more than one representative?

Relation can be created in the Xpat system with more than one representative to act on behalf of the employer (business entities and other types of entities).

Who will be responsible for the actions taken in the Xpat system?

Both the employer and representative will be responsible for all the actions taken within the Xpat system.

Can the employer request to deactivate the relation established between an employee or a representative?

Yes, If the employer wishes to appoint another employee/representative to represent the employer on the Xpat system on behalf of the employer. The employer has the option to deactivate previous employee/representative with required documents.

If the Employer has passed away, how can I manage the permits that were issued to the employer or deactivate the employers account?

If the employer has passed away, relations can be created to the next of kin / children of the account owner upon request or the individual assigned by the court. A request should be emailed to [email protected] along with the below mentioned documents: Court Order Document Death Certificate A clear copy of valid national identity card (both sides, in colour) of all heirs / court assigned individual Letter/email requesting to create relation with the representative with the signature of all heirs / court assigned individual
